His operational background includes service as an Explosives Detection K9 Handler in the private sector, supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and multiple law-enforcement agencies in threat mitigation, protective operations, critical-infrastructure screening, and venue security.
Tyler has extensive experience in executive protection, investigations, emergency operations, incident response, and large-scale security management. He has led and coordinated protective assignments in dynamic, high-pressure environments requiring rapid decision-making, interagency communication, and strict adherence to security protocols.
As President of SpearPoint Defense Group, Tyler oversees executive protection programs, armed security operations, GSOC integration, remote-monitoring and camera technologies, training and certification programs, compliance oversight, and national subcontractor/prime-contract partnerships. His leadership approach blends military discipline, risk-based assessment, technological integration, and a strong emphasis on accountability and standards.
Tyler is a certified A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Instructor and holds multiple state licenses and credentials, including Texas Level 3 Armed Security, Texas Level 4 Personal Protection Officer, and additional state security certifications across multiple regions.
He is an active member of ASIS International, IFPO, PSPA, OCPA, and InfraGard, reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional development, industry advancement, and security excellence.

Chris Ward is the Director of Protective Operations for SpearPoint Defense Group and serves as a primary point of contact for mission oversight, agent deployment, and operational coordination. Chris brings more than 11 years of professional experience in high-security environments with a background that includes investigations, Internal Affairs, Special Response operations, surveillance, and facility leadership.
Before joining SDG, Chris spent over a decade in corrections, where he supported complex investigations, coordinated emergency responses, and helped develop safety, compliance, and operational readiness programs. His experience managing high-risk incidents and supervising specialized units directly supports SDG’s standards for reliability, accountability, and mission-specific adaptability.
Chris is also a competitive shooter, certified firearms instructor, and experienced range safety officer, giving him advanced technical proficiency in weapons handling, safety management, and instructor-level training. His skills reinforce SDG’s commitment to maintaining highly trained, professional personnel capable of meeting elevated client requirements.
At SpearPoint Defense Group, Chris oversees day-to-day field operations, ensures agent compliance with site directives, manages rapid deployment needs, and works closely with SDG’s GSOC to coordinate real-time communication and operational support. He is instrumental in ensuring that SDG delivers consistent, dependable, and client-focused security service on every assignment.

Jack Jones serves as Lead Protective Services Agent for SpearPoint Defense Group, where he provides operational leadership, field supervision, and executive protection oversight for corporate, private, and high-risk clients. In this role, Jack leads protective teams, manages advance operations, and ensures consistent execution of SpearPoint’s standards across all EP assignments.
Jack brings over two decades of experience in emergency services, executive protection support, and high-risk operations. His background as a nationally registered Paramedic and medical instructor enhances SpearPoint’s protective posture through advanced medical readiness, threat mitigation, and crisis response capability in dynamic environments.
Prior to joining SpearPoint Defense Group, Jack supported executive protection and corporate security operations with Crisis24, including high-profile events, advance planning, and protective services for private-sector clients. His operational experience includes SWAT medical support, executive protection team leadership, and training roles supporting law enforcement, military, and security organizations.
Jack is a graduate of Crisis24’s Protective Operations Course and has completed additional executive protection training through the Executive Protection Institute. He holds multiple instructor certifications in firearms, use-of-force tools, de-escalation, counter-surveillance, and emergency medical response, and regularly instructs personnel across public and private security sectors.
